Highest efficiency and energy saving: customised solutions for a historic renovation.
In Calais, a charming town with Romanic origins located near the English Channel, stands the church of Notre Dame de Calais: a majestic architecture that went through multiple styles from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century.
Selected as a partner by the lighting designer Philippe Almon of the PHA studio in Paris, Platek created an important lighting project involving the redevelopment of the historic museum area, with the aim to create a lighting that guarantees both excellent energy performance and environmental protection.
Various lighting solutions were used to enhance the majestic structure.
The vehicular floor recesses Medio and Atlantique, resistant to corrosion and humidity, illuminate the monumental facades and the Mini Corniche walk-on floor recess bathes the perimeter areas of the structure. The Spring, Mini Spring and Micro Steel projectors are placed in several strategic points: the effect is a lighting obtained with LEDs of different shades and enhances architecture and volumes, creating accents of light and three-dimensionality.
