Platek illuminates Alàbriga Hotel & Home Suites on the Costa Brava
The hotel industry is one of the areas in which Platek is at its best, with world-class references testifying to this.
The extensive catalogue, which includes both technical and decorative product lines for exterior and interior applications, allows Platek breathing life into a project perfectly tailored to the customer’s expectations and satisfying the entirety of their needs.???????
Platek is therefore a valuable partner to hoteliers, property developers and contractors (and their design studios) in the hotel industry.
Hotels, residences or resorts are places linked to the concept of relaxation, escape and emotion. The skilful use of lighting plays a key role in achieving this.
The Alàbriga Hotel & Home Suites project in Spain shows off Platek at its very best. Alàbriga Hotel & Home Suites is built on the foundations of the ancient establishment of the same name and is a unique architectural project, inspired by the hull of a yacht anchored in the bays of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The complex was the work of the internationally renowned architect Aryanour Djalali. Located in the centre of the Costa Brava, between Barcelona and Girona, the Alàbriga Hotel & Home Suites is in one of the best-preserved areas of the Mediterranean. Its beauty comes from the true fusion of the nature of the mountain landscape with its beautiful beaches.
It was important for the lighting design to take into account not only the architectural structure but also the hotel's special relationship with the landscape. Platek, therefore, thought of using a whisper of light, able to delicately underline the volumes of the architecture and create relaxing corners, in discreet harmony with the other elements of the interior design project.
Platek's expertise and reliability were key in the owner of the property, Valery Scherer, selecting Platek to light many of the hotel's outdoor and indoor common areas.
The products supplied were the Mesh product lines by Marco Acerbis (both the outdoor coffee wall lamps and the battery-powered table lamps), Flamingo by Sara Moroni (both in the floor and ceiling versions, used in both outdoor and indoor lounges) and the recessed Nano spotlights for the open-air staircases.
This was an important project for Platek as the company continues to focus on excellence and the careful selection of projects to collaborate on.
