Rationalism, monumentality and geometric rigour
The lighting of the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice is a project of great value for Platek, who was involved in the redevelopment of the former casino and the surrounding areas. The renovation was carried out under the motto of rationalism, monumentality and geometric rigour in order to restore the dignity and overall functionality to the former gambling house and the square in front of it.
For this building, temporary venue for the activities of the Film Festival and a congress centre for the rest of the year, Platek has proposed technical lighting with a 4,000K natural white light.
In particular, for the general lighting of the square, the park and the access to the service roads, the Tarsius pole top range was chosen; on the monumental travertine staircase and on the side ramps the Promenade wall recessed was installed and for the architectural façade Spring and Mini Spring floodlights were used to obtain monumental lighting. Finally, the Mini Corniche model was chosen for the main entrance.
