Delicate and bold. Unconventional and versatile.
Between history and luxury on the Mediterranean shores
The boutique hotel Il Gattopardo is set towering over the torquise waters of Cala Creta in the archipelago or the Pelagie islands in Sicily. The owners Sandra , Mario together with their son Marco have given new life to this historic resort on the island immersed in mediterranean scents, crystal waters and excellent cuisine .
The restyling project was awarded to the architect Valentina Moretti, founder of More, that translated the wishes of the ownership through a relaxed and family feel atmosphere where objects of design create a connection with others that have been customised; the use of materials and textures were inspired by the uncontaminated feel of the island and these highlight and respect this aspect of purity.
The outdoor areas have been highlighted with numerous high quality furnishings including Platek lighting fixtures that perfectly blend with the surrounding wild and rugged nature. In particular the Flamingo lamp finished in bronze, designed by Sara Moroni which can be found in different applications and variants, from bollard to floor standing or applique. The use of the light points take us back to the historic structure and create a feeling of intimacy thought especially for those guests that wish to relax outdoors.
